Almost Better Than Christmas!
Such a fun day! Just finished baking and frosting a gluten free Green Velvet Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting, all homemade, from scratch. So thankful that my Mom taught me how to bake! Being gluten free for almost a year I haven't had too much cake, any really, and oh my gosh, one piece of this just out me over the edge. It's so good. In the crock pot is corned beef simmering in apple juice, which I will soon broil with a brown sugar/ mustard glaze. To accompany that will be mashed potatoes, steamed carrots and a mix of sauteed bacon, onion and cabbage, possibly homemade gf bread and of course green beer, and maybe a jello shot or two! I'm such a foodie. And anybody that knows me knows that I love to talk about the good food that I make! The whole dinner conversation must be praise to the chef :)
But back to the Leprechauns... They came and they came strong! The pee'd in out toilet and it turns out they pee green! They brought Lucky Charms for the boys and set out their bowls AND they turned the milk green! They also mixed up all the clothes in the drawers and left gold candies all around the house. Those sneaky little devils. With all that Leprechaun activity, you would think Fischer would have caught one by now, especially with his super-deluxe Leprechaun Trap. Maybe tonight...
I'm ready for a beer! Cheers and Happy St. Patty's Day to you all! Come on by for some cake!
