ha ha ha

What would Christmas be without crying? Fischer started that day off right with a few tears. I think he was a bit overwhelmed by the whole thing and still doesn't get why he has to open so many presents. He was so not in to it that we ended up opening almost all of them for him. One is really all he needs. Although this was a Spiderman year, his favorite gift was "tiny balls" (a rubber soccer, football & basketball) that "Santa" bought for .59 at the drug store to fill his stocking. He hasn't let go of them since Christmas morning. Good thing Caleb took it all in stride. He was happy as usual.

It's Never Boring

It really doesn't get boring. Tiring- yes, exhausting- yes, stressful- yes, but boring- no, not really. All in one night Fischer decorated a gingerbread house and tried to kill the goldfish, all while dressed like a crazy kid in his own pick of mis-matched jammies. I really have to let go of the matching on a 2-year old because he has a mind of his own. That picture below is of his goldfish eating the whole jar of food. Fischer thought he was really hungry. Love it.

Can't say much about Caleb. He did roll over today on his own for the first time which is huge in baby world, but not always so interesting to others. I look back now at every nuance I wrote about Fischer and I think- who actually reads the blog? Looks at pictures? I'm sure lots of people, but who really reads about these little anecdotes which I find so amusing? I like how Caleb is modest and covers his parts when I take pictures of him in the bath.

Anyway- tomorrow we're going to see Fischer cry on Santa's lap, just for fun. And before we know it Christmas will have come and gone. Since I cheesed out on the Christmas cards and have gotten it to a science where I don't have to write anything, I'll write my sentiments here.

I hope that Christmas brings love and laughter. I hope that there is peace in your lives, within yourselves and those who surround you. I hope that you can find happiness in the small things. I hope that you are with the ones you love, and I hope you embrace old traditions and initiate new rituals. Peace on earth and good will towards men.
